Brenda was born on 3 January 1942 to parents Gladys and George Easey. She was one of twins with Pauline. Brenda had a happy childhood. Her and Pauline were mischievous children who kept Mum and Dad on their toes. Brenda left school in 1957 and worked as a switchboard operator.
